Job Summary
We are looking for a full-time/ part-time English teacher who understands that teaching English is not just about grammar, vocabulary, and tests – it’s about helping students feel that they belong in Singapore and in the wider English-speaking world.
This role combines teaching with community-building. The right candidate will not only teach high-quality lessons, but also help create an environment where students make friends, understand culture, build confidence, and feel at home using English in real life.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver English lessons and tutorial classes aligned with a structured course syllabus to ensure consistent learning outcomes
- Conduct private and group classes using engaging and relevant teaching methods to enhance student participation and retention
- Build positive relationships with students to foster loyalty and support their academic progress
- Provide academic support tailored to individual student needs to improve learning effectiveness
- Participate actively in student orientation and marketing events to promote the school and support student engagement
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum five years of experience teaching language courses in multilingual environments
- Proficient in English to effectively deliver lessons and communicate with students and colleagues
- Skilled in academic assessment to evaluate and support student learning progress
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organisational skills demonstrated through effective classroom management and student engagement
Preferred competencies
- Highly motivated with a positive working attitude and a strong sense of responsibility
